Smithfield, RI -- The Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group has launched a new website, www.hearingportal.com, combining the informational assets of both Howard Leight and Bilsom brands, to provide safety managers with a new global resource for their hearing conservation programs.
Howard Leight® and Bilsom® are the recognized global leaders in hearing protection technology and product innovation. As the brands of the Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group with over 175 worldwide patents, Howard Leight earplugs and Bilsom earmuffs are on the leading edge of noise blocking and sound management technologies, as well as pioneers in the highest attenuating and uniform attenuating hearing protection devices.
"As awareness of the need for hearing protection in the workplace grows, we find safety managers increasingly concerned about implementing effective programs for their employees," said Renee Bessette, Senior Marketing/Communications Specialist for the Group. "Our aim, in addition to providing information on the latest products and technology, is to provide safety managers with the information they need to achieve both compliance and effectiveness in their programs."
The new site features complete product information for Howard Leight and Bilsom hearing protection devices, including all recognized attenuation ratings [NRR, SNR, SLC80], literature downloads, global sales contacts, news archives, and a user-friendly search function.
Central to HearingPortal.com is a series of short articles designed to address the questions and concerns of safety professionals engaged in the development and implementation of hearing conservation programs. Authored by expert hearing conservationists and edited by noted hearing conservation authority Brad Witt, "Sound Source" is intended for safety professionals, including industrial hygienists, audiologists, hearing conservationists, students, and interested members of the public. Topics include: "Understanding Ratings," "Earmuffs & Safety Eyewear," "A- and C-Weighted Noise Measurements," "How NRR is Calculated," and more.
Coming soon to HearingPortal.com will be an expanded Hearing Conservation section, dubbed the Hearing Portal Resource Center, incorporating a number of other practical tools for safety/conservation program managers, hearing conservationists and the general public. Included will be regulatory information, new research findings and educational/motivational tools.
